Free sample essay on Visit to an Exhibition. Visiting an exhibition has been my favourite pastime. Whenever there is an exhibition in the city, I definitely visit it. Exhibitions are of different types ranging from books, household articles, vehicles, to aeronautics. I enjoy them all.
Last November, I visited the 10th Industrial Fair which was held in Pragati Maidan. It was one of the most impressive exhibitions I have ever seen. The exhibition was organised by Small Scale Industries Department. Traders from different states of India have erected their stall. The stalls were beautifully decorated reflecting their respective state’s art and culture. Articles of different types were displayed on them.
I visited the exhibition at 11 a.m. with my friends. As we reached the gate there were large number of people standing there. They were queued to get the entrance ticket. We also took our tickets and entered the gate. At first we were welcomed by a grand statue of clay. It was a brilliant piece of art. The statue was made so skillfully that it appeared the statue is about to speak something. We were stunned by its grandeur and beauty. We moved ahead and entered a big hall. Here traders from different countries like China, Japan, Singapore, Korea, etc. had set up their pavilions. The articles displayed showed their industrial and technological progress. The toys of Japan were in great demand. The pavilion of China was heavily crowded. Mainly children and women were enjoying the display of Chinese goods. Decoration pieces, toys, etc. were making great sale.
ADVERTISEMENTS:
In the states’ pavilions the traders were doing great business. They were busy in finalising deals with big parties. Besides, visitors were also present in large number. They were enjoying the handicrafts items. The skills of handicraftsmen were surprising. Different items made of bamboo were seeing great sale. They were highly attractive.
We then went to the stationery shop. We saw the graphics, paintings, stationery, and books on various subjects. The stalls displaying these items were concentrated in a big hall. Religious and mythological books were concentrated in a big corner. There were huge volumes on almost all the branches of sciences and humanities. The stall which displayed Shakespeare’s classics was hugely crowded. His tragedies like Hamlet, Othello, Macbeth, etc. were selling like hot cakes. In the exhibition we saw various stationery items like pen, globe, chart, etc. I bought a German pen and a globe made in America.
At 4 o’clock we returned to our home. We enjoyed the visit very much. It was an enriching experience. We learnt about the art, culture, traditions and technologies of different parts of the country. We learnt many things in the exhibition and enjoyed them as well.
