Vaccination is an intentional administration of a harmless or less harmful form of a pathogen to induce a specific immune response that protects the individual against later exposure to the same pathogen.

This type of vaccination is used to protect against thyroid fever, whooping cough, diphtheria and other types of bacterial diseases.

And, finally a person can be vaccinated by infecting him with live organisms that have been grown either in special culture mediums or have been passes through a series of animals until they have mutated enough that they will not cause disease but will still carry the specific antigens.
