Lives of great men teach us a great lesson by example. They have done great deeds to be called great and great deeds are always those which are good deeds.
Therefore, it means that they were called ‘great’ because of the good deeds that they had done. Good deeds are those which are done in the service of the country, in the service of the society, in the service of one’s fellowmen. Such great men become examples to be followed. Man is the best of God’s creation and he has the ability to think and to act.
Therefore, man should always think good and act good as per the example set before them by the great men. We should make the best use of our lives that alone would make our lives ‘sublime’.

This can be done only by actions, examples of which have been set before us by great men. Should we not want that the coming generation also remember us for our good deeds just as we remember the great men?
