My dear (Name),
Your letter dated ____________. Has come to me as a balm, so soothing that it has made me lose consciousness of everything else except my desire to see you at my earliest. It is really so very kind of you to write such sweet and endearing words as befit an elderly lady of deep poise and grace.
ADVERTISEMENTS:
I have consulted my parents and they have allowed me to visit you as suggested by you. I need not tell you how delighted I shall be to see you and hear your sweet voice.
Mother has even allowed me to extend my stay if circumstances warrant it or if you do not want to send me back home early. I am sure that a graceful, sweet and kind-hearted lady would not want me to leave early, however much I may deserve it by showing a streak of misbehaviour here or there.
I do hope you would not be disappointed when you see me as I am just a common and lay person. I don’t claim any special thing about me except that I love Ravi with all my heart. My only grievance was that I started feeling he was drifting away from me.
But your letter has dispelled my fears. I now pray that I may be courageous enough to make myself a good daughter-in-law to you.
ADVERTISEMENTS:
Yours Sincerely,
(Your Name)
