Dear (Name),
Here comes ____________ (Festival Name) again and you are still in States and I am in ____________ (Place Name) with a whole continent between us! But you are as much in my thoughts today as though you were just around the corner. It would take far more than a continent between us to make me forget the many ____________ (Festival Name) we had together, and the many pleasant memories we share. Do you remember the ____________ (Festival Name) night we had the last. The year, I and you were married? Do you remember how we celebrated by ____________, followed by the grand feast, which our wives prepared and playing cards whole night. That was eleven years ago. Your children might have grown up now. There I wish I could see them, but it will be a long time before ____________ (Name) and I get to States. ____________ (Name) gave up general practice about a year ago, and I thought he’d been able to take it little easier. But he is busier man ever, he won’t go away even for a weekend, for fear a patient may need him and he won’t be there! Is ____________ (Name) still with Technicolor? Did she ever get started on that history of the movies she was going to write. It seems such a long time since I’ve heard from you. I do wish you’d let us know how you all are, and what interesting things you are doing. But anyway, my dear, I just want you to know that we are thinking of you on ____________ (Festival Name), and remembering all the good times we used to have, and wishing you weren’t too very far away! ____________ (Name) and I send our love to all the family— and the hope that you will have a sparkling____________ (Festival Name), and a very prosperous new year!
ADVERTISEMENTS:
Affectionately yours,
(Your Name)
