Dear Sir,
ADVERTISEMENTS:
I shall be highly obliged if you would kindly allow a little space in your esteemed Daily to highlight the following.
Sir – “It is most heartening to mention beyond contradiction of doubt that there is abrupt change in the attitude of the people in general especially in big cities. It otherwise means our society as a whole is suffering from moral disease and degradation. The erosion of moral values is causing erosion of social values. Our young men and women are becoming callous and self-centered. They are in fact averse to their duties to the society. Cooperation amongst the people and mutual help are now conspicuous by their absence. The result is that people in general have forgotten their obligation to the society where they live. In public transport we see how the passengers are heartless to the sick people and averse to the young women’s safety when there is attempt of eve-teasing to them by the anti-social elements.
There is another instance of inhumanity when it is observed that the passers-by do not come forward to extend succor and relief to the person who meets with an accident on the road. In such case, even the dead body remains unattended for considerable period of time till such time the police arrives at the accident spot to take care of the body. If the moral and social values are eroded the prospects for the future society are really bleak and alarming.
Time calls for complete reorientation towards betterment in the attitude of the people and consequent metamorphosis in the society free from disease.”
