Dear Sir,

I regret to inform you that while I was going to your bank for encashment of my self cheque No.____________ dated ____________ for ____________ (Amount), duly signed by me, the side bag in which the cheque was kept was snatched away by the miscreant in a crowded bus. I have every reason to believe that the snatcher of my cheque will come to your bank for encashment of the cheque by putting signature on the back of the cheque imitating my signature while taking money from the cash counter.

Kindly, therefore, advise your concerned official that if any person comes to your bank with this cheque, no token is to be issued to the person against the cheque for encashment.
