Sir,
Whether the very purpose of RBI’s introduction of unstapled currency notes is fulfilled or not but it is surely landing the customers in much trouble.
ADVERTISEMENTS:
First, the notes are bundled in polythene wrappers in such a way that the number and condition of the notes supplied by the banks cannot be checked unless the bundles are opened.
If after opening the bundles, any discrepancy is found the bank staff refuses to change the notes on the plea that opening of the bundles loses genuineness of the claim. Moreover, the soiled notes are also not owned by the distributing staff.
Thus the unscrupulous decision of the RBI for introduction of unstapled notes makes great inconvenience to the common customers.
ADVERTISEMENTS:
May I suggest that the notes be stitched by threads and duly sealed instead of being stapled, which may prevent the damage to notes as well as injury to the opener.
Yours faithfully,
