Dear Sir,

I have come to know that my wife while driving through the (Road Name) today in the morning hit your wife’s car. This is indeed regrettable and I sincerely apologize on my wife’s behalf for the damage caused. Actually, the lapse was only because she was trying to save a child crossing the road. Anyway, I would feel relieved if you get your car repaired and charge me for that. It would be very kind of you not to involve the police in this case.
