Any Police Officer making any investigation under this Chapter can require the attendance of witness who may appear to be acquainted with the facts and circumstances of the case. However, no male witness under the age of 15, or a female witness of any age, can be required to attend at any place other than the place at which such person resides. (S. 160)
Any Police Officer making investigation under this Chapter may also orally examine any person who is supposed to be acquainted with the facts and circumstances of the case. Such a person is bound to answer truly, all questions put to him by such officer, other than questions where the answers might expose him to a criminal charge, or to a penalty, or forfeiture. The Police Officer may also reduce into writing any such statement made to him. (S. 161)
