Legal Provisions of Section 350 of Indian Penal Code, 1860.
Criminal force:
This section defines criminal force. It says that whoever intentionally uses force to any person without the consent of that other person, in order to the committing of any offence, with the intention to cause by the use of such force injury, fear or annoyance to the person to whom the force is used, or with the knowledge that by the use of such force he is likely to cause injury, fear or annoyance to him, is said to use criminal force to that other.

The section makes it clear that the use of force on the part of the offender must he intentional. This force must be to any person only. There must not be any consent on the part of the victim to the use of the force on him by the offender. The use of force on the part of the offender must be in order to the committing of any offence. The offender must have the intention to cause by the force injury, fear or annoyance to the victim, or must have knowledge that the use of force by him is likely to cause injury, fear or annoyance to the victim.
