Defines Yoga as, the control of though waves in the chitta(mind) Patanjali described the chitta as a collective aspects of manas, Budhi and Ahamkara, which get controlled through the praise of yoga.
Three aspects Manas- is the modification of the impressions gathered by the senses from the external world. Budhi (intellect) is the modification of these impressions and its reactions. Ahamkara (ego) is the modification of the inner organ, than claims these impressions as personal.
