1. All India Handicrafts Board:
The All India Handicrafts Board has been constituted under the Chairmanship of the Minister of Textile with the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) as Member Secretary. The Board advises the government in matters pertaining to the development of the handicraft sector.
2. All India Power loom Board:
The All India Power loom Board was constituted as an Advisory Body under the Chairmanship of the Ministry of Textiles. It has representatives of Central and State governments and Power loom Federation/Associations of Power loom Industry as its members.
The functions of the Board are to advise the government on matters concerning the growth and development of the power loom sector. The Board was reconstituted vide resolution dated 28.10.1998. It has 29 members.
3. Central Wool Development Board:
The Board has been constituted with a view to promote the growth and overall development of the wool and woollen industry.

Various developments schemes are implemented through the state governments concerned. Facilities for testing are also provided. The Board has its headquarters at Jodhpur and has 19 members.
4. All India Handloom Board:
The All India Handloom Board has been constituted under the Chairmanship of the Minister of Textiles. The Board advises the government on various aspects of handloom development.
5. Cotton Advisory Board:
The Cotton Advisory Board is a representative body of Government/Growers/Industries/Traders. It advises the government generally on matters pertaining to production, consumption and marketing of cotton, and also provides a forum for liaison among the cotton textile mill industry, the cotton growers, the cotton trade and the government. It was reconstituted on 21.4.1997.
6. Central Silk Board:
The Central Silk Board was constituted with the objective of promoting the growth and development of sericulture in the country. The programmes for development of the sericulture industry are primarily formulated and implemented by the State Sericulture Departments.

However, the Central Silk Board supplements the efforts of the states by providing the necessary support for research and development and extension and training through its countrywide network of units.
Besides, the Central Silk Board organisms the production and supply of quality silkworm thread, mulberry cuttings, etc. and also undertake directly as well as jointly with the State Sericulture Departments, the implementation of various sericulture projects.
7. Jute advisory Board:
The Jute Advisory Board advises the government generally on matters pertaining to jute falling within the purview of jute (Licensing and control) Order, 1961 including production estimates of jute and mesta. The Jute Commissioner is the Chairman. The Board is constituted for a period of 2 years. The Board was reconstituted in December, 1997. It has 20 members.
