India is die second biggest democratic country in the world, next to the United States of America. India, way back in 1950 (On January 26, 1950), resolved to constitute the country into a Sovereign Socialist Secular Democratic Republic to protect its subjects.
The move has many ramifications like die tentacles of an octopus to reach every one and benefit in all respect. Accordingly, no one is superior and no one is inferior to anybody. It touches all spheres of life, Justice, Liberty, Equality, Fraternity, etc. Our form of government is Parliamentary form; it is based on the adult franchise during an election.
Its distinct features are Fundamental Rights enforced by court and Directive Principles of Sate policy for the welfare of die general public. The fundamental rights elucidate that everybody is equal before law. It also highlights Social Equality. And above all, it broadly speaks of Equal Opportunity to all in public appointments.

Right to freedom is classified into seven groups: freedom of speech and expression to practice any profession, occupation, trade and business, without violating law, detrimental to the interest of die nation.
The term Right speaks of one’s right, but at the same time, it also drives home the message that such Rights of an individual should not affect a person either directly or indirectly.
Rights also prohibit slavery, human trafficking, beggary and any kind of Forced labour.

The freedom to Religion permits any individual to practice one’s own religion and way of worship, however, without interfering with other religions or hurt their sentiments. India is the only country with people speaking many different languages. But every language has a room as wished by its practitioners.
And they can preserve their own script, without damaging any other. And a special article 32 enables every individual to appeal to die Supreme Court for redressed of his/ her grievance, whatsoever.
