Daniel Chapman is basically not a professional poet, yet he has written and published several poems. He feels that poetry is an art where one could express one’s feelings that they have in heart.
He is young and has gone through many tough situations like any other person, but during those tough days, he felt that jotting down thing that wander in his mind, made him feel comfortable and that is how his poems came out and he felt that, many like him out there could read and hear his thoughts.
The poem “Love Is” is a poem that describes what Love is. Basically, there is no one line definition for love. It is felt and expressed in many ways and differs from each person to person. This 22 line poem is beautiful written in 2 lines each the exact feelings of how he has felt with Love and what he sees through Love.

Here, Chapman starts the poem by asking, what exactly is love? No one can see or hear it; it just sneaks through without anyone noticing and then stays on with a beautiful polish. He then says that Love could cause hurt sometimes, which may be deep. But at times, there is no medicine as good as love for a hurt to be healed.
Similarly, love is born at times just like that and at another time, the extend of love, could even create a kill. In short Love is sweet as well as dangerous.
He then says that love has lost and love has won, at times we lose what we love, but sometime we win what we love. Sometimes, love catches up slowly, but at another time, it could even toss you around for no reason.
Love could be right, love could be wrong, it depend on how we see it, love could be weak and you could fall, love could be strong, so strong that nothing could break it. That is the effect of love, in all angles.

Love could give ups and downs in life, in the same way, love could give you a smile, that you like or a frown that you may enjoy at times. This is best seen with kids, how they modulate when they are in great love.
Love could be good in many cases and in some cases it could also be bad, as too much of love will end up in trouble only. Love could be quite and just between two people, without anyone noticing or it could even be show cased off and boasted about.
There is little love and there is lots of love, which shows the intensity of love. There could be love that continues for a lifetime or love that is stopped, once and for all.
You could hope and dream when you have love within you, you could talk for hours and sing endless when there is love all around.
ADVERTISEMENTS:
Love could be expressed in many ways, it could either just be a word or just maybe a ring, just to show that you care. Love could even be nothing to some, but everything to some another.
The poet concludes say that, since there is a mixture of feeling and doings in love, where can you find unconditional love. The only that comes unconditional is the love from God and that love is only which is eternal and hold not barriers or boundaries, no likes or dislikes, no situations or conditions, but just pure love in the purest form.
