Amongst many educational problems, the problem of removing students-unrest is one of the main ones. Experts are deliberating about the measures that should be adopted for effecting necessary improvements in the system of education and for enabling the students to become capable of joining some useful vocation after their education is complete and thus to save them from falling victims to different political propaganda and misguided persons.
We should take some such steps which may discourage the youth from taking only higher education. This does not mean that we do not want to educate our young men and women worthy of higher education. In fact, we want to develop intelligent and worthy young men and women who will provide leadership in different walks of life.
Along with it, some such vocational programmes have also to be organised in which some willing but less brilliant students during their education or after their education, may take admission and earn their living after learning useful skills in them.
ADVERTISEMENTS:
It will be a matter of great concern if the society does not fulfill the above mentioned responsibilities. It is a matter of regret that many of our young men want to go abroad after their higher education for the sake of higher emoluments and higher standard of living.
Who is responsible for this state of affairs? We have mentioned in the preceding pages that the different wings of society are dissatisfied with the behaviour of students. Who is to be blamed for this?
We can unhesitatingly say that our social structure, educational system and politics all put together are responsible for this. Hence all concerned will have to make necessary efforts to solve the problems of students.
