ADVERTISEMENTS:
He came back to India and began to practice as an advocate in Bombay. But he could not succeed as a lawyer, as it was the job of a liar, and he didn’t want to fight cases based on lies. Therefore he left the job of a lawyer and got involved in the service of his nation.
He started non-co-operation and non-violence movements to gain freedom from British rule.
Under his able guidance India became free on 15th August 1947. This great leader of our country died on 30th January 1948.
