The annual meeting of World Economic Forum was held at Davos in Switzerland in January 23-27, 2008.
The World Economic Forum annual meeting 2008 adopted the theme for this year’s event. “The Power of Collaborative Innovations” in which participants drawn from the fields of Business, government, media, academic, the Arts and Civil Society from across the world discussed the global problems of conflict, terrorism, climate change, water conservation, corruption, financial risk and stressed for a new brand of collaborative and innovative leadership to address these global challenges. In economics and finance the issue of Economic Insecurity was addresses mainly. Besides preventing investment protectionism, Financial Market trends, private equite and activist hedge funds and the issues of international investment perspectives was discussed.
(3) Geopolitics:
Aligning Interests across divides was the main geo-political issue discussed.
(4) Science and Technology:

In science and technology the issue of exploring Natures New Frontiers was mainly discussed. Besides the issues such as Climate Change global warming and sustainable development were main issues.
