If you have no character to lose, people will have no faith in you. You will have to move among the masses; you will have to bring about a change in their hearts.
The so-called orthodox do not represent the masses, nor do they represent, the correct interpretation of scriptures. They can react on the masses. But character alone will have effect on the masses. Masses will not argue. They will simply want to know who the men who go to them are. If those men have credentials, the masses will listen to them; if they have no credentials the masses will not listen. It is in the midst of these people that you have to go and bring a ray of light and hope.
