Free sample essay on Flying in an Aeroplane. During the summer vacation, I happened to go to Kathmandu. My uncle lives there. We decided to go there by an aeroplane. We had got booked our tickets a month in advance of my departure. We decided to go by the Royal Nepal Airlines. I was for the first time going somewhere by aeroplane. I was very excited. I had different kinds of thoughts in my mind.
Our flight was to take off at 9 a.m. from IGI airport. We reached airport two hours before the flight. It took one hour in security checking and following other formalities. Then we got into the plane. It was a big aircraft. We took our seats. Before the take-off everything was checked and passengers tied their belts. There was a terrific noise when the plane started moving on the runway. Soon it began to move upward. Within no time it was up in the sky. I was feeling a little giddiness. I also felt swelling in my ears. After some time, I was normal.
The plane was flying at a fast speed. From the windows I tried to look on the earth. Buildings, towns, cities, villages seemed to be like small toys. Forests appeared to be tiny plants. Big rivers appeared to be small drains of water. I was enjoying the landscape on the earth. Meanwhile the air hostess came with toffees and chocolates. She also offered snacks and coffee. I took so many chocolates. 1 enjoyed the refreshments.

The sight inside the plane also deserves to be mentioned. Some passengers were dozing and snoring, many of them were reading magazines or books of their choices and interests. Several passengers were feeling uncomfortable and uneasy. Many passengers were gossiping. Some were involved in discussions over current socio-politician issues.
At around 11 a.m., the aeroplane took a brief halt at the Patna airport. The passengers on board were again provided with some refreshment. After a little while the plane again resumed flight towards its final destination. Within no time the plane was passing over the mountainous regions of the Himalayas. The landscape below appeared very enchanting. The scenic beauty of the Himalayan region was wonderful. It was full of falls, rivers, plains, greenery, ravines and gorges, deep gravers, and majestic cypress trees. The Kathmandu valley was all the more attractive. It was a wonderful experience to have an aerial view of the city of Kathmandu. Finally, our plane landed at 1 p.m. at the Kathmandu airport. I was very pleased and had a thrilling experience.
We came out of the plane. My uncle was there to receive us. He took us to the restaurant at the airport. We had ice-cream there. Then we left for his home.
