What is family and what is state: To define and understand this simple but profound great saying, one should take one’s own family and then the country (state) he belongs to. Family consists of parents, grand parents, siblings, kith and kin, and other members who are closely related to us. This is called near and dear, isn’t it?
A father in a family has certain responsibility. As the head, his duty is to earn a living, look after his dependents, cater to their needs, face any problem that encounters any member of the family and ensure the future of his children and so on. The list thus could go on as long as one’s arm. It doesn’t mean that only the lather of a family has responsibility and others can lead a care free life. Everyone has his/her own responsibility.
The mothers, better known as the home makers, have to run die family with the earnings of their husbands; the children have to study well. Eke wise; all the members have certain dudes to perform. Some family heads who find it difficult to run the family, abandon their home, near and dear and flee.

These people either take up austerely life or dedicate themselves to serve die masses! How funny! Serving die masses is, of course, a noble thing, but at what cost? Deserting die dependents at home and taking up public life is not die right thing. When such a person is incapable of running a small family of his own, what better can we expect of him?
Stressing the importance of family, first, many people have voiced their concern. Another great saying says, “Light up your own home before you light up die temple!” Many saints had abandoned their homes saying that they had discarded all the earthly pleasures.
Some of them became self-styled God men and began cheating die gullible! Buddha too had turned into a saint. But his reasons were different. Just because he did not want to lead a comfortable life when the others suffered, he gave up and became a saint.
ADVERTISEMENTS:
However the message through the above mentioned proverb is that on no account one should refuse his own family, no matter whatever the reason may be.
Humans are not like animals to leave the family and stray away arbitrarily. There is a Moroccan saying, “None but a mule denies his family!” Never, never abandon your family.
