There are several menaces in life. Most of them are a source of great nuisance and cause disgust. There are, however, five menaces which I hate most. First of all, I hate the menace of smoking, particularly at public places. Everybody knows that smoking is injurious to health and yet the chain-smokers cannot desist from smoking.
lt is good that now smoking at public places and in educational institutions and offices has been banned. Secondly, I hate the menace of. Drinking at public places. Drinking is a great nuisance. The man who drinks not only wastes precious, hard-earned money but loses his senses. On the one hand, his family has to starve and on the other hand, he is prone to committing one or the other heinous crime including murder.
Thirdly, I hate most the menace of stray dogs. These dogs are nobody’s property. They wander about freely in streets and bite whoever takes courage to go near them.
ADVERTISEMENTS:
Fourthly, I hate most the menace of street beggars. They beg at streets, at holy places, near bus stands and railway stations and sometimes even near educational institutes and hospitals. Many of these beggars are really thieves, burglars and pickpockets.
Fifthly, I hate most, the menace of rash driving. Those who get the habit of driving rashly, get addicted to a sort of thrill just as the drug-abusers get, addicted to drugs. Then they cannot get rid of this habit and put their own lives and those of others in danger.
