I am passionate about films. If anybody decides to conduct a quiz on films, I am sure to win it. In fact, when I grow older, I plan to become a filmmaker. I like all kinds of films.
They could be comedies, thrillers, family dramas, historical, sci-fi, horror, etc. The only genre I don’t like is romance especially of the candy floss variety. I remember seeing a movie called ‘Nine Months’ and I could hardly wait for the movie to end. I was that bored. My favorite genre is thrillers and nobody makes them better than Hollywood filmmakers.
Some of the movies I liked are ‘Jagged Edge’, “Fatal Attraction’, The Silence of the Lambs’, “Mystic River’, “Basic Instinct’, etc. “Basic Instinct’ is one of my all time favorites. Sharon Stone was superb in it. Of course I saw some of them on TV as they were not for those below 18. Among classic thrillers, I love Hitchcock’s movies.

I also like comedies, especially of the Jim Carey variety. But once in a way comes a movie like ‘As Good As You Get’ which is a different kind of comedy but still appealing. I like serious movies too. I remember this movie called The Green Mile’ based on Stephen King’s book. Tom Hanks was unforgettable in the role of a humane jail warden.
The Pursuit of Happiness’, a real life rags-to-riches story was also very good. I even read books on movie actors and directors to know more about their lives and times. Sometimes I send movie reviews for the teen feature supplement of the daily newspaper. Some of them have been published.
I would like to make all kinds of movies when I grow up. I intend to do a course in filmmaking and work under a good director for some years before making my own films. Before that I want to master every aspect of the industry.
