Short Biography of H.M. Seerval – H.M. Seervai is widely treated as one of India’s foremost Constitutional experts ever,was Advocate General in Maharashtra from 1957 to 1974.
In 1981, the British academy elected Serve as its Corresponding Fellow.
He was principal exponent and ferreter of the Constitution of India. In 1994, International bar Association awarded and recognized him as “Living Legend of Law”.

Seervai was awarded Padma Vibhushan by the President of India in 1972. He was also awarded Honorary Fellowship of Asiatic Society of Bombay in 1991.
He is an author of monumental work ‘Constitutional Law of India’ which is regarded s Bible of the Indian Constitution.
Serve for his personal reasons had refused to be a judge of Bombay High Court and the Supreme Court of India. He died on 26th January, 1996.
